Aspects astrology orbs

As for the actual manifestation of the conjunction, whether it will be positive or not depends on the planets involved and the individual. It could go either powerfully well or not. Here is a visual example of a conjunction. Mars is in 6 degrees Aquarius while the Moon is in 13 degrees Aquarius. This would be Moon-Mars conjunction with an orb of 7 degrees! Hey there! Some would include wider orbs and some really goes for tight ones across the board. And for the inner planet it gets smaller, social planet is even tighter, etc. So the wider the orb- the more distance between it - and as the bodies move closer, the tighter it becomes.

Thanks for dropping by!! Could you please explain or direct me somewhere where it would be easy to understand what exactly are aspects, sextiles, trine, squares, etc? Thank you! A trine is formed when two planets are in the same element, but not the same sign. For example, a Moon at 15 degrees in Sagittarius would trine a Sun at 15 degrees in Leo. The tighter the orb, the stronger the aspect!

Back to the trine though, this aspect is said to be very harmonious, in other words, a good aspect. In the picture about you can see that each sign is connected to each other by element, so what happens when you have a planet in each different sign of the same element? This is called a grand trine and as you can see it forms a perfect triangle. Grand trines are very fortunate and symbolize good karma brought over into this life and depending on the planets it includes will read a deeper meaning. Just so you get a better idea of what a grand trine is, I found a picture online of a chart with one.

You can see Uranus, Mars, and the Moon forming a grand air trine. The next aspect I will explain is the conjunction. A conjunction is formed when two planets sit tightly close together, and back to the whole orb discussion, a conjunction usually stays within a 10 degree orb, but I personally think a conjunction is only noticeable within a 5 degree orb. The closer the conjunction, the stronger it is! The picture below is the symbol for a conjunction. The next aspect is the sextile. A sextile is formed with two signs that are considered compatible, but not the same element, aspect to each other.

With that being said, an Aries Moon would not sextile the sign directly across from it even though it is a compatible element because that is considered a different type of aspect. If this makes more sense, a sextile is when two planets are 60 degrees away from each other. Sextiles are in-between being considered major aspect and a minor aspect.

Next aspect is going to be the opposition. The opposition is created when two planets are degrees away from each other within a 10 degree orb is okay, but again like the conjunction, I say within 5 degrees in other words, when two planets are directly opposite to each other. Oppositions are considered inharmonious aspects, but they are supposed to teach us to see contrast and how we can use that contrast to help in the areas that oppose each other.

Symbol is below. The next aspect is the square, this is when two planets are 90 degrees away from each other and usually will have the same mode eg. The orb for this is within 7 degrees and it is considered a very hard and inharmonious aspect. It symbolize conflict and struggle, but on the upper hand it shows stability and strength. A Grand Cross is considered a major aspect for it is a mix of a square and an opposition.

Like the grand trine, it is when planets form together in such a way that forms a giant aspect. Each planet will be in a different element, but of the same mode and depending on what the mode is of the grand cross will depict the theme eg. A T-Square is very similar to a grand cross, except it only includes 3 planets and is much weaker than the grand cross. In contains two planets in opposition to each other, and then one other that squares the two.

Examples are below. Another major formation is the Kite. It involves a grand trine and a planet between two of the points to make a sextile and opposition. As I explained in the beginning, a grand trine implies goodness. With a kite involved, the individual with this aspect is inclined to put their grand trine talents to work. The final major aspect I want to provide is the Rectangle. This happens when there are two oppositions, but are also connected by a trine and a sextile to each other.

This is a very fortunate aspect to have, it provides talent and good will. There are a few other big formations like the grand trine, t-square, etc. If you begin to understand this, you will probably go on to research the others. But before I end off, there are a few minor aspects I should mention briefly. The semi-sextile ; when two planets are 30 degrees apart harmonious The quintile ; when two planets are 72 degrees apart harmonious, orb must be within half a degree to actually be noticeable The semi-square ; when two planets are 45 degrees apart inharmonious The quincunx ; when two planets are degrees apart neutral With minor aspects, the orb has to be VERY tight for them to really have any affect, I would say within 3 degrees.

Example of a Person who has it prominent: here. Other Examples: Billie Eilish opp. Meaning; the 12H Ruler [lord] is Pluto. You really should to specify the ORBs. I did a Chart analysis for Timothee Chalamet recently, where I guessed his rising sign. In this chart, his major Capricorn Stellium falls into his 2H, coincidentally.

Anyone who uses more than 3 is not taking this seriously. They just get in the way.

I can explain everything important in your chart by just using major aspects. But you do you. Planets determine the orbs. When it comes to smaller objects asteroids they determine the orb again. Which is 3 degrees. So, can the ascendant really be another sign for just a few minutes? Many celebrities are more like their neighbor sign than what they are supposed to be.

Her birth time, from a certificate, is P. No doubt. This connection always alters the interpretation of the planets and signs involved. When planets are in aspect to each other, their interpretations must be blended according to the nature of the aspect. To be precise, aspects are special degrees of separation between the planets, with respect to the Earth. Since astrology focuses on the interplay between the celestial bodies and our Earth, we take a geo-centric Earth-centered view of the heavens.

The planets, then, are observed to orbit at different speeds in approximately the same plane in space. As a result of these planetary motions, various angles, measured in degrees, arc minutes, and arc seconds, are formed between the planets as seen from the Earth. In mathematics, an angle is defined as that fraction of a circle formed between two lines that intersect at the vertex.

Imagine the Earth being at the center of the circle. Then imagine a line being drawn from two planets each to the Earth, so that the Earth is the vertex of the angle. The number of degrees between the two lines connecting two planets with respect to the Earth forms the angular relationship — the aspect — between the two planets. Aspects are considered not only for the planets, Sun, and Moon, but also for the points of the Ascendant and the Midheaven.

In this example image, the Sun and the Moon are in "square" aspect.

However, astrologers do not label aspects like that, for that would be a tangled mess of lines in the birth chart. Instead, the angular relationships are denoted by a single line connecting the two planets in aspect. Thus, in any astrology chart, the square aspect will be denoted by a line like the red one in the image above. Certain degrees of angularity are very important in astrology. They are called the "major aspects. Now, aspects are given a margin in which they have an influence.

What Are Orbs?

This margin of influence is called an " orb " in astrology. An allowable orb is the amount by which the two planets involved can deviate from the exact number of degrees of the aspect and still be considered to have an aspect influence. As you'll see below, each aspect can be defined as a circle divided by a number. The sextile will be two signs apart, the trine will be four signs apart, and the opposition will be six signs apart. Many pages can be written describing the dynamics of each aspect, but here we will brief.

Keep in mind that as you grow in your knowledge of astrology, and as you gain experience in interpreting charts, you can add your own insight into how the aspects are manifested. This is a very dynamic aspect, since it marks a strong focalized potential for expression along with a tendency for direct action and self-dramatization. The two planets in conjunction are blended together, fused, and intensified. Planets in conjunction must be interpreted as a blend in which the planets work together. This can be a good thing if the two planets get along like say, Venus and the Moon , but it can be inharmonious if the two planets are incompatible like say, Mars and Neptune.

It represents an easy flow of opportunities or ideas that, if acted upon, will help realize the individual's goals. It can also indicate talents. This is a harmonious aspect in which the energies of the planets involved collaborate well and work comfortably together. However, while this is traditionally a positive aspect, it is not dynamic. This aspect is rather passive, and it does not necessarily bring an impetus to do anything. The sextile aspect can be characterized as a lack of friction. This is usually pleasant, but can sometimes go unnoticed. This aspect implies restrictions and challenges.

It is a dynamic aspect since the challenges pressure you to work on the issues represented by the planets involved. Planets in square aspect are at cross-purposes. They are in conflict that leads to irritation; achievement is delayed, though patient hard work can lead to success through integration of the two principles. Traditionally, this is a negative, inharmonious aspect.

The planets and houses involved are areas in the individual's life where adjustments must be made and where tremendous effort must be expended to realize gains.
